Mike and I were really busy last weekend. First we made a stop at the "daddy store" (aka Best Buy) and made a very important purchase!
Yep - Deanna finally gets a job and Mike finally gets a LOVELY new TV
Then we had to make another trip to IKEA to buy (and then "build" of course) something to put it on (new rug too).
It looks good, right?
(mom - notice all the boxes are gone!)
This past week was Keira first experience with Montessori school. She had a great week! She got along very well with the other child (yep, only two kids and one teacher right now) and Miss Marla said she transitioned very easily into the Montessori routine. We are excited about this school for Keira. One of the best parts for me is picking her up at 4pm everyday (I leave work at ~3:55) and we are home by 4:20. Love it! Mike and I also have been trying to read to Keria more. That was something that we seemed to forget about in all the preparation and moving down here. We pulled out the old standby "Where the Sidewalk End" by Shel Silverstein. Right now Keira's favorite poems are "Spaghetti" (every time she see the picture she tells us that it is Curious George hiding under there), "Peanut Butter Sandwich" (it's her job to say "peanut butter sandwich at the end of each stanza) and "Lazy" (which she likes to 'read' on her own).
So in my 'free' time I have managed to be a little crafty. Yesterday I made the trek to JoAnn's (it's several miles north of us - wah!) and I recovered all the dining room chairs with new fabric. I've never done this before, but I have watched about 100 episodes of Trading Spaces, so I figured I was qualified. I dig them!
Here's a shot of Keira (on a phone book doing a puzzle) and Mike
I knit a hat this weekend too. One of my "e-friends" has a sister that is going to go through chemo and radiation and was looking for scarves and hats to donate to her. The sister's favorite color is green, so I picked up two balls of green cotton yarn and knit this lacey cap for her.
We are missing Haley lots, but I know she is having a great time in Florida. I wanted to post this picture of her because it's so "Haley"! While we were unpacking she grouped all her Barbie-type dolls together and asked me to take a group shot of them and her. She'll be back in a little over a week!

Love the new tv and chairs. Hug the girls for us. :)
Hey D!
I just found your blog - since you live in Atlanta now maybe we can meet in person and be real friends instead of just e-friends :)
I am giving Hailey all of her goodies when she gets out of the hospital this week. The hat is so cute, I want one. I've gotta learn how to knit!
Thanks a million.
